The McNichols Campus Library allows for one collection drive or donation box in the Library at a time. Prior to requesting a collection drive/donation box reservation, please note the following guidelines.
Reservations are limited to:
- Members of the University of Detroit Mercy community (student groups, programs, etc.) for the time and date confirmed.
- One reservation/box per group/program per academic year. All boxes must be picked up prior to Finals Week (dates vary but finals are in December and April).
- First floor of McNichols Campus Library.
- Two weeks per group. Optional additional week may be granted pending availability.
Collection boxes must clearly display:
- name and contact information of sponsoring group or program;
- purpose of collection;
- description of what is being collected;
- deadline to donate; and
- any other relevant information.
Please note:
- Reservations must be confirmed by a library employee. You will receive an email confirmation upon library approval.
- A representative from the sponsoring organization must check the collection box weekly to ensure the box is not overfull and collect items accordingly.
- Boxes must be picked up within 24 hours of reservation end date. If end date falls on a Friday, the box may be picked up Monday.
