Many web pages have an inherent bias that will impact everything that appears on them. Some bias is subtle, some obvious. Every web site has a purpose. Think critically about what your looking at. Are the issues discussed ina balanced manner or are statements made that could be considered extreme? Use your own standards of common sense when evaluating. Is the author/sponsor 1) left or liberal, 2) right or conservative, 3) center, 4) a political action group or association, 5) issue oriented (i.e. pro this or anti that)? Is it a business trying to sell you something? If there is a disclaimer on the website, it is probably best to be skeptical about the content.
